Thank you for your interest in our website and/or our products. The protection of your privacy is very important to us. Below we inform you in detail about the handling of your data when using this website and when using the AUGLETICS rowing machines with an activated internet connection.
Storage of access data in server log files
You can visit our website without providing any personal information. We only store access data in so-called server log files, such as the name of the requested file, the date and time of the request, the amount of data transferred and the requesting provider. This data is evaluated exclusively to ensure trouble-free operation of the site and to improve our services and does not allow us to draw any conclusions about your person.
Data collection and use for contract processing and when opening a customer account
We collect personal data when you voluntarily provide it to us in the context of your order, when contacting us (e.g. via contact form or e-mail) or when opening a customer account. Which data is collected can be seen from the respective input forms. We use the data you provide to process the contract and deal with your enquiries. After complete processing of the contract or deletion of your customer account, your data will be blocked for further use and deleted after expiry of the retention periods under tax and commercial law, unless you have expressly consented to further use of your data or we reserve the right to use data beyond this, which is permitted by law and about which we inform you below. The deletion of your customer account is possible at any time and can be done either by sending a message to the contact option described below or via a function provided for this purpose in the customer account.
Data transfer for contract fulfilment
In order to fulfil the contract, we pass on your data to the shipping company commissioned with the delivery, insofar as this is necessary for the delivery of ordered goods. Depending on which payment service provider you select in the ordering process, we pass on the payment data collected for this purpose to the credit institution commissioned with the payment and, if applicable, to payment service providers commissioned by us or to the selected payment service. In some cases, the selected payment service providers also collect this data themselves if you create an account with them. In this case, you must register with the payment service provider with your access data during the ordering process. In this respect, the data protection declaration of the respective payment service provider applies.
Use of data when registering for the e-mail newsletter
If you register for our newsletter, we will use the data required for this purpose or separately provided by you to regularly send you our e-mail newsletter in accordance with your consent. You can unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time either by sending a message to the contact option described below or via a link provided for this purpose in the newsletter.
Use of data for postal advertising and your right to object
Furthermore, we reserve the right to store your first and last name, your postal address and – insofar as we have received this additional information from you within the framework of the contractual relationship – your title, academic degree, year of birth and your profession, industry or business name in summarised lists and to use them for our own advertising purposes, e.g. to send you interesting offers and information about our products by post. You can object to the storage and use of your data for these purposes at any time by sending a message to the contact option described below.
Credit check and scoring when selecting BillSAFE (PayPal purchase on account)
If you choose the payment method “purchase on account” of the PayPal service “BillSAFE” (www.billsafe.de), you will be asked during the ordering process to consent to the transmission of the data required for the processing of the payment and an identity and credit check to PayPal. If you give your consent, this data will be transmitted to PayPal. For the purpose of its own identity and credit checks, PayPal or partner companies commissioned by PayPal transmit data to credit agencies and receive information from them as well as, if applicable, creditworthiness information based on mathematical-statistical procedures, the calculation of which includes, among other things, address data. Detailed information on this and on the credit agencies used can be found in PayPal’s data protection information, available at:
You can revoke your consent to PayPal at any time. However, PayPal may still be entitled to process, use and transfer your personal data if this is necessary for the contractual processing of payments or is required by law or ordered by a court or authority.
If the payment method “hire purchase” is selected and the necessary data protection consent is given, personal data (first name, surname, address, email, telephone number, date of birth, IP address, gender) together with the data required for processing the transaction (article, invoice amount, due dates, total amount, invoice number, taxes, currency, order date and order time) are transmitted to our partner PayPal (Europe) S.à r.l. et Cie, S.C.A., 22-24 Boulevard Royal, L-2449 Luxembourg for the purpose of processing this payment method.
In order to check the identity or creditworthiness of the customer, our partner carries out queries and obtains information from publicly accessible databases and credit agencies. The providers from whom information and, if applicable, creditworthiness information is obtained on the basis of mathematical-statistical procedures, as well as further details on the processing of your data after transmission to our partner PayPal (Europe) S.à r.l. et Cie, S.C.A. can be found in its data protection declaration, which you can find here: https://www.paypal.com/de/webapps/mpp/ua/privacy-full?locale.x=de_DE.
The consent to the transfer of data given in the order process can be revoked at any time, even without giving reasons, with effect for the future.

Use of Google (Universal) Analytics for web analysis
This website uses Google (Universal) Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google, Inc. (www.google.de). Only in exceptional cases will the full IP address be transmitted to a Google server in the USA and shortened there. The anonymised IP address transmitted by your browser as part of Google Analytics will not be merged with other Google data.
You can prevent the collection of the data generated by the cookie and related to your use of the website (incl. your IP address) by Google, as well as the processing of this data by Google, by downloading and installing the browser plugin available at the following link: http://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=de.

The purpose and scope of the data collection and the further processing and use of the data by the providers on their pages, as well as your rights in this regard and setting options for protecting your privacy, can be found in the providers’ data protection notices.

Stored data when using our rowing machines
The following data is stored in the form of server log files and database entries in connection with the use of the rowing machine, in particular in connection with setting up the account: Details of workouts rowed (date, time, workout duration, distance, average speed, average number of strokes, energy, heart rate (average and course), power (average and course), number of strokes, average trainer rating (broken down by consistency, rhythm, lead, stroke length and movement)). When you log in to the device, this data is assigned to your personal profile. For this purpose, the time of registration and the method (by personal login or via RFID key fob) are stored. In addition, the following data may also be stored as part of quality assurance: In conjunction with date and time: handle deflection, roll seat position, flywheel speed within the rowing machine and resistance position. Above this, screen inputs are stored for quality assurance purposes.
The collected data is used for statistical evaluations and to improve the software. However, we reserve the right to check the stored entries subsequently for concrete indications of illegal use.
Handling of personal data when using our rowing machines or the web application
Our rowing machines can be operated without a user account. In this case, most of the functions are still available, but the training results cannot be saved. In this case, no personal data is stored either, but each rowing ergometer has a unique identifier that can be linked to the stored data in 1.
